Giddy up!

Time to giddy up on my blog! Sorry for my neglect the last few weeks but I have been so darn busy! So much going on and no time it seems.... but I have been at least going to my fave blogs and reading up......Just no time to blog here....Anyhow all is well...Just had a major snow and ice storm this week in Seattle so we are in a slow melt today and I am glad its over. Snow is pretty and all but when it gets dangerous with ice then I don't like it... They say we may get another round next week...Hmmm I guess my request to mamma nature was heard to get snow last week...Dang... I wonder if she takes repeals?

Glad to see my fave movie got the globe! The Decendants! We also went to see The Iron Lady---WAS GOOD!!! Had to take a week off from movie going-- well we had no choice as we were snowed in! Today we finally got out and went to Costco which was nice as we were getting cabin fever! STUD ALERT-- Hey had anyone seen Jonas Sulzbach from Big Bro Brazil? All those pics and vid of him this week with his big--well you know... I suggest you check it! DANG!

My Week With Marilyn-

Hubster and I have doing the movie thang... We are trying to hit most of the ones that will be nominated for awards and such as we all know awards season is upon us darlings..... One of the movies we went to see over the weekend was My Week With Marilyn . 2 thumbs up! And major kudos to Michelle Williams- WOW! She did an brilliant job and deserves all the nominations she should receive for her work on this movie. Fantastic! We also went to see the Devil Inside---mindless crap but I love a good spook every now and then....I was surprised to find out it was the number one movie this weekend... Next we want to see SHAME. That's the next to check off the list...Its funny how even in a big city like Seattle My Week With Marilyn was only playing at 2 theaters and Shame is only at 1 theater in town. They are both in limited release. I hate trekking in to town and paying for parking and such when I can just head over to our newer,more comfortable and closer local cinema....LOL! Man I'm getting old.... oh well!

Anyone have any other recommendations on movies we should see? The Descendants was our fave movie so far this year....

Happy Holidays!

Holy smokes has it been a busy few weeks! I know you must be just as busy...Getting the holiday shopping done and then doing all the events and just getting our everyday normal routines and such done has been crazy! Its all winding down a bit now as we think we are done with shopping- this year we had more than usual to shop as we have allot of kids that came into our lives this year. I and the hubster are enjoying being "uncles" to so many toddlers. It fun to buy toys again as our other nephews and nieces are now in high school and beyond and now we just have a big x mas eve dinner to pull off and then I am going to bake like a crazy man tomorrow. I think I am going to make about 6 kinds of cookies- 3 types of bread and some cupcakes-- Got a new froster and I am excited to try it out. Ok boys get your mind out of the gutter! Not that kind of froster! he he he....Anyhow hope all is well out there for you as well and you are all enjoying the season. Thumbs up Santa!

Mom I miss u......

Hubby and I and mom about 3 weeks before she lost her to her battle with cancer above..

I think of my mom daily, Sometimes more so on certain days than others. Today is one of those days...A day I really miss her and get really sad. We cleaned out her home last month and got it rented to some nice people- Getting all her stuff packed up was very emotional. I don't know how to put it into words really but it was difficult. I have been slowly getting some of the stuff my dad left behind (as he moved back home to Honolulu) incorporated into my home and then other items to donate as well. Today I had some bins and boxes to go through and sort as I had put them aside as some of the stuff I thought my sisters and brothers would be interested in. I was a blubbering mess as I went through it all this morning. My sis is coming over tonight and so I got a few boxes ready for her and then some blankets of moms that was left in the linen closet.....all of still had the smell of my mom and her house....It was so comforting but at the same time it made me miss her so much...The hardest part was that and then coming across her make up, brushes, powders, lotions etc......It was like she was in the room with me.....It made my heart miss her so much.

Its also the holidays and that time of year she loved so much. We would spend so much time together during the holiday season.....Shopping, visiting, going to look at lights...just doing all kinds of holiday stuff. Its the hardest time of the year for me that's for sure...So much tradition and memories....She has been gone for about a year and a half now but it seems longer. Sometimes I talk to her at night as I lay in bed....Sometimes she feels like she is in the room with me and it comforts me. I sure do miss our talks....I miss her voice the most.

Mom would have our family's annual x mas ever dinner every year and so enjoyed doing that and so looked forward to it. This year I will keep that tradition in her honor. My sisters and the kids and my brother have all agreed to get together this year at my home. I am so looking forward to it and will so enjoy doing it too .... I now feel the same as she used to I guess...I know she is looking forward to it too ....seeing all of us together....She and we will so enjoy it. I also know she would be so proud.

So I am a GaGa fan....I liked her but wasnt one of those who was MAJOR about her. I am a bit picky about my divas.... I can honestly admit I maybe a bit late out of the gates on getting on the GaGa wagon but but after watching her Thanksgiving Special I LOVE HER! I so enjoyed this side of her. Christmas Lights- Check

Hubby and I got all the lights up yesterday in the yard- Day before we did the entire inside of the house- The house is now Christmasized and ready for the holidays! It looks awesome and I will have to take some pics soon and post. We had some help from Ryan Gossling above too...Well we are happy with the outcome and at least it only took two full days this year. I have a lot of stuff we decided not to use and will be donating it. We started years ago with LED lights and last year we were 90% .. This year we are at 100% LED and I must say I love the light it gives and love the lower bills! So Happy Decorating to you...If you need Ryans help e mail me and I will give you his number....

Happy Thanksgiving!

Sorry been hella busy the last few weeks- Had my BFF here from Hawaii so between that and work we have been so darn busy! Its been nice to have him here the last 2 weeks for sure. Its like old times running around town, staying up late and such....We do have to thank our blessings as we have spent so much time together this year! He is here for another week but went to stay with his mom and other friends this week for the holiday... Will hook back this weekend before he leaves next week.

We are looking forward to turkey day tomorrow and just chilling with good friends. We got a 22lbs turkey and I think it is the biggest one we have got in awhile... Its a BIG BUGGA!!! Were invited to a few dinners so we will do rounds of visits- Dinner is close to home and then some visits to do dessert etc. Wanted to have a quiet one at home with the kids but we decided to take a few offers on our friends invites. My family has shrunk as we are now on year 2 without my mom and now that my dad has moved back home in Hawaii its going to be a bit strange to not have dinner with my parents and at the house. It will be a first.... So many fond memories there. As a matter of fact I rented out the house and just last night gave the keys to the renter. Its hard to put into words how I feel about that home. I am hopeful that they will take care of it.

I have so much to be thankful for this year! We are happy and healthy and surrounded by good people and life is better than it has been for a long time. Things seem so much more appropriate and our direction though kinda not as laid out as it once was in the past is less stressful and much more loving. I so miss my mom so much on holidays..its hard! I take comfort in the fact that she is watching over me and my life today is guided by her hand from heaven....I feel her around me all the time.

Or in this case above Ah ah ah! It has been so fricken insanely busy!! My dad moved to Hawaii so we have been taking care of getting his house here ready to rent so we have been cleaning and painting and all that stuff....then we are helping friends with some remodel of a farm when we can.... and then we started watching a 4 year old boy on the weekdays a few weeks ago.....We really have had no time to catch our breaths the last month or so....We are REALLY enjoying watching our little guy. Its like having a our own son. He would rather stay with the uncles then go home! LOL...

Damm ... no time to even blog these days..... My best bud arrived from Hawaii last night and he is here all week with us as well which I will enjoy! His mama has lung surgery today so I wish he was here under better circumstances......I am just glad we are here for support....so this is my BFF and we stayed with him and his partner for 2 weeks in May and then 2 weeks in Sept in Hawaii... Now he is here in Seattle this week... He said when we picked him up last night....Wow long time no see! Which we all chuckled..... It is wonderful to see him thats for sure though... Ok Im out...Had only 4 hours of sleep! I need to go take a nap....wait the boy is over in a hour or so.... Ok time to get the coffee....

Rad Homos Halloween Home...

This is our home on Halloween... Out neighbor snapped this pic on Monday night... Our neighborhood loves that we decorate for most of the holidays.... Halloween is our fave so we have a lot of fun dong it and go a bit crazy. As a kid I went ape shit over houses that were decorated and my mom used to say when I grow up she could just imagine how I would decorate my house....She was so right! LOL! I love that all the kids like the gay guys house! This year we made approx 80 plus trick o treat bags and ran out by 830... It was a busy night! Most popular boy costume was Captain America with Transformers running a close second.... For the girls it was princesses and witches....My fave was a dude who was a gruesome zombie in a cheerleader outfit...

Well on to Thanksgiving..... We our mellow for Turkey time...Just a 9 foot blow up turkey is all....

Loving this new show!!! It reminds us how it USED to be back in the day to fly as a passenger and how it was quite glamorous to be a stewardess and prestigious to be a pilot or cabin crew. I remember having to dress up to fly with my granny and I loved going on the 747--it was quite special.. Nowadays flying has become like a train or bus-- dare I saw it will one day be like a cab? Anyhow love this show and I think the ladies on this show are so very hot! I love everything about it...and how can you resist Mike Vogel below who plays the captain as well? SWOON! I hope it makes it and gets the fan it needs to make it...I am a big fan for sure!

Its October 1- and fall is in the air! We are back from vacation and made sure to get our sunshine and beach in. Hawaii was awesome as always.... Weather has changed in the last day or so---we had our last 70 degree day on Thursday....Now its cool cloudy and rainy.... I do love fall though...Its a beautiful time of year....I think I am going to start decorating this week too. I did put up the fall wreath yesterday. Hubby and I was talking when we came back this week and how we would miss Seattle if we did move back to the islands....we just wish we could live in Seattle for Spring Summer and Fall.... And live in Hawaii for the winter.... How ideal would that be? Oh well time to go through the 15 boxes of fall and Halloween decor....Fun!!!

New Hobby

Spent the day paddle boarding yesterday at a Lake Angle down the street from us. My cuz and her hubby have been after us to go all summer...Its been hot and sunny here so we went. OMG! We had such a awesome time!!! At first hubby and I thought no way can we balance on them but it was ok and after awhile we were cruising on them. We are going to go again this Friday as its suppose to be hot all week. So much fun! Major workout though and my bod feels it today. We are going to rent them when we go back to Hawaii next week for sure. We want to try to paddle to Chinamans Hat....

Hey Doggies!

Who-wee! What a weekend! We had a function every night so we had 4 nights in a row of debauchery this long holiday weekend! Friday we checked out a new gay bar close to home and that was cool-- it was nice to spend sometime with some old friends Sat was the Hubby's bday...So I pulled together a last minute BBQ and it turned out super awesome! It was a full house. We had about 40 guest in the backyard..... even our kids had a great time as everyone brought there kids and doggies too! We had 9 dogs running about!!!. You can tell we are all such dog lovers that's for sure! Good times!

We all had to relax on Sunday morn-- our kids were knocked out! Then went fishing later in the afternoon and then round three as we had another BBQ on Sunday night to attend.

Yesterday we spent the day at Angle Lake-chilling in the sunshine and lake and had a weenie roast lunch! Then last night my sis came over for the tail end of this busy and intense labor day weekend and we just relaxed and caught up with each other enjoying cocktails on a warm evening our lanai/patio. Needless to say it was a busy ass weekend....But so awesome!

Today its back to our regularly scheduled life... Whoopie-doo! But there is a light at the end of this tunnel! We leave for HAWAII next Friday! Double Who-wee!

The new Superman looks super duper eh? Im liking Henry as the new Man of Steel! So happy Sept 1st. Looking forward to a holiday weekend to celebrate the hubby's b day and hang with family and friends. We were going camping but that fizzled--So was going to go to the coast with kids but since it was so late to make arrangements it was crazy so we just decided to stay home and chill.

So my big decision is what kind of cake to order today- hubby wants Dobash Or Chantilly which are Hawaiian cakes..hmmmmm....Other than that headed to the farmers market later this am with our gal pals...Its become a daily thing this summer every Thursday we meet for coffee and then head over to the farmers market and hang. Good times! Later this afternoon I need to give the kids a bath- The 2 older ones love to bath but the little one hates it. They need to be clean for Daddys birthday weekend!

Swimming in Seattle

its been a gorgeous week in Seattle--About 78 every day.... Hubby and I have been at the pool all week- it has finally been warm enough this week to take a dip! Weekend is suppose to hit 80! Its BACK to another week...

And this backside is perfection ya? .So how you doing Mr Jessie Balboa!!! So its a recoup and regroup Monday for Rad... We had a great weekend with a bunch of our friends and family in Silverdale Washington. We all stayed at a beach resort and just had a KILLA weekend. It was nice to get away for sure! Dogs were allowed at the resort but we didn't know so we are definitely going back with the kids next time as they would love it so much too. We are going to go back for a weekend in Oct. Small world as we knew the sales manager of the resort so it was shall we say--Awesome!

Back to the week---today is a catch up day for me and and then try to get some R and R is on my agenda. We have a busy week ahead!

Bombs Away!

Summer in Seattle

Summer has hit in Seattle--Finally! It has been sunny and warm for about a week---Sunday was overcast but it was a good rest day. We celebrated with family and friends of what would of been my moms 63rd b-day and had a big BBQ. It was nice to get together and remember her. Gosh we used to BBQ on her b day every year and just hang out and play booche--oh such good times! So we did as we would when she was here with us....I know she was watching us....

Hubby and I have been so darn busy! I haven't had time to blog or do everything we want to do... Infact today I finally cleaned our house--I used to clean every week but lately its every other and I had to do it today as it had been almost 3 weeks! Yikes! I guess I am loosening up with age. Ha! Well I guess if your not home the house stays clean! LOL!

So we really have been enjoying our summer...the sunny weather is awesome and we have just been hanging at a friends pool and going out with my sister on her boat and just chiilin with our buds. We have a big weekend planned as our whole family and friends are going to huge family reunion pig roast. I am also excited and we have family "ohana" coming in from Hawaii for a few weeks on this Friday. They are coming in for the reunion and to visit... Hubby and I was going to go camping this weekend with friends but the reunion came up so we had to cancel but instead we are all going to Summerfest in Silverdale next weekend. Going to spend the night as Island Vibrations are playing on Saturday night....I am loving this summer! I cant remember a better one!

Lost a high school friend this last week :-( Off to her memorial tomorrow- My sister and I knew her well. Its going to be surreal as it is going to be like a mini High School reunion as well....Then Hubby is set to go to the pool again tomorrow afternoon....He is my little aqua boy this summer! He he he......I think I may need to put back my blog vacation sign....

Oh Mylanta! The boys are back for round 2 and if the first episode this last week is any indication its going to be a wild, fun and crazy season! Already I had to crack up about Reichens Uni ball (see below post).

One year ago this am...

I lost my Mom.....

So today is 1 year that I lost my mom. Gosh.... so hard to put into words, feelings....I have so many emotions about it....still.... She was my biggest cheerleader, my confidant and really my best friend. I used to joke about it with her and tell her she was my BFF and I didn't realize until we lost her just how true that was. I miss talking with her the most......and then seeing her as the hubby and I spent SO MUCH time with her and my dad. Its been rough.

Mom and I had the best relationship and she and my dad was so a part of my life. I was proud to show her off and she has been to a many parties, bashes and gay clubs and drag shows since the 80's....She kinda grew up with me as I grew myself in my 20's and 30's and now 40's... Yep she was my BFF! And everyone thought she was SO COOL.....

I kinda took my cue from her as I have always taken friends and made them into OHANA or family-- by taking all my friends and family and making sure they all mix....as she said it was the Hawaiian way....Show your aloha! Its all we know......I know...its how we were raised! I know this is why I have a BIG OHANA...a very large and wide circle of friends through the years....Its a bit differ than what I see here and what some seem to practice... Its strange for me to see people separating friends and or families... I say learn to share... Live and learn ALOHA! I am just glad I had her as my mom....I know she guides and walks with me everyday.

My Magzine Reading Pleasures

Well I have to admit we have really recessionized our magazine subscriptions this year. I have kept my EW, Instinct, Sunset and OUT mags. We actually get 3 OUTS per month for some insane reason as somehow we got 2 free subsections and so I pass off the extra issues to friends. We got rid of so many others as I think at one time we had 8 plus mags coming in the mail. I got rid of all the fashion and gossip mags. We get our gay news, fashion and such from OUT and Instinct. Then my garden, design and all things west from my SUNSET which I adore.

This was last week issue of EW and I have to say EW is a very good keep. It gives you the latest in TV, film, music and so much more. Its great and its a perfect cliff note version on a weekly basis for all things media... it just rocks... I highly recommend it. Had to mention it as I loved the Jason Bateman cover a few weeks ago. He is such an everyday guy and that is so refreshing these days. I wonder what his sister Justine is up to these days?

Happy Holiday Weekend!

Memorial Weekend! The start of the summer season! We have a few BBQ's to attend so we are looking forward to that. We used to go camping but in Seattle its just too wet and cool so we haven't done that in awhile. SNL Finale with Lady Gaga and JT....

JT was again top notch as he hosted the season finale of Saturday Night Live over the weekend with Lady Gaga. This was his fourth hosting gig and he had a number of established characters that he brought back.!! His " Omelet" mascot, who asked people to “ Bring it on down to Omeletteville,” became a bottle of beer promoting “Liquorville.” Gaga got into the act, becoming a wine mascot with a cork on her head. Timberlake reunited with former cast member and current late night host Jimmy Fallon for “The Barry Gibb Talk Show.” As as usual it was funny as ever and Fallon was top notch as usual and funny as ever!

Lady Gaga and Timberlake went head to head in the sketch “What’s That Name.” Of course Gaga provided a "moment" of the show, when she donned a pregnant belly and gave birth to gold liquid during her performance of “Born This Way. WTF!!! So Gaga! I suggest hulu or NBC to catch all the sketches if you missed show over the weekend.... But my fave has to be the follow-up to “Motherlover” and “Dick in a Box.” Jt -Andy Samberg and Gaga got close in a new short called Threeway (the golden rule) ... GREAT stuff ......see it here.

Im Back!

Back from Honolulu...Like my sexy pose? LOL! Got my tan on, beach on ( caught lots of waves!) and had a good good time...Brought the sunshine back with us to Seattle as it has been nice and sunny since we got back on Tuesday night....Temps are still chilly it was 64 on Wed and 67 yesterday and today should be 70...Not warm but ok.... Did yard work all day yesterday and hubster got the veggie garden started. Going to do some other work on the outside today. Enjoy the weather while we have it that's for sure. Going home....

Today is BOYS DAY.....now called children's day but growing up in Hawaii we used to celebrate this day as boys day... I used to love flying the carps outside on a pole. I remember going around the neighborhoods and loving it. You could see how many boys were in each house according to the carps flying in the wind at each household. Its a tradition I have kept. Today we have 3 outside flying about..One for me and one for my hubby and one for our dog Alika.... Happy boys day to all...

Joe Jonas has definitely been on my radar this last year or so as he has gotten quite HAWT! This last week we have seen pics of him on the beach in Hawaii with his bros....He is quite the looker! Happy Easter Weekend

Going to start the weekend by having some friends and family over tonite to color eggs and have some ham dinner. Tomorrow we have a egg hunt with some friends and then tomorrow night we are going to Tasty Buds Seattle and then the Natural Vibrations concert. On Easter Sunday we will go to Dads and have some Portuguese Bean Soup! Dads been asking for it and since we will have that ham bone from tonite we will use it to do the soup. Busy busy!

Thermal Season Is Still Upon Us

Brrrr cold and rain rain rain here in Seattle....The last few days have been lows in the 30's and hi is about 50... Hail and snow all day yesterday.... Police got us up last night as a guys drove into our fence ( this has happened before!) at midnight last night... What a pain...oh well. Will have to get that fixed....He was joy riding and crashed... Hot cop though and he was nice and very helpful...

Major Guilty Pleasure

Hawaii 5-0

I am a huge fan of the new Hawaii 5-0! Its one of my fave shows on TV right now and it just gets better and better. The entire cast is perfect and the chemistry between Steve and Danny is really really good too! I enjoy how they show has so many scenes of my island home and its use of Hawaiiana..its just an awesome show!

I have ALWAYS had a crush on Scott Caan --since he showed us his butt on Varsity Blues back in the day he has always been on my radar.....Now Alex is also on that radar big time too! What is funny is a good gal pal of ours mentioned to us that she saw a guy in her intouch mag a few weeks ago and then grabbed it to show us a pic of him as he is soooooo our type of guy! Happy Birthday to me......

Today is RADs 45th birthday! YES 45! Call the fire department when the cake is lit! Last year I refused to give my age but oh heck...Yes Im a geezer! Time to just get over it....

Not much in a celebratory mood as I have never been one for b-day party's and such anyhow.....So going to lunch with today with some great friends and then going to a quiet dinner tonite and then lunch with my dad tomorrow. Very low key and with those I love...

Its bittersweet this year as these pics are from last year when my mom was still with us.... she was so happy to get me this guava cake. Been thinking of her so much these days. Its been over 8 months now and I miss her everyday so so much. I have been a bit emotional these last few weeks. Many reasons but one was watching Holly's World on TV and seeing Josh ( LOVE HIM!) on last weeks and this weeks episodes (he met his real mom) it made me miss my mom and also made me miss having someone to confide in (he and Holly are so close). God I am wellin up writing this!!! Anyhow hubby and I was in tears! I just wish I had my BFF closer.... he is moving to Hawaii from AZ next week.....and I just haven't found someone close to home and my heart to open up too. Sucks deluxe! Thank god for my blog buds! They help thats for sure! Anyhow.... I better go and shave and get ready to head out the door to make this day count! BTW don't you dare say I look 45! I would like to think I am well in looks dept so far--I will admit however that my body feels the age......

Mr Saturday...

I do have time to read my faves ( not as much as I would like) but as my buddy Mark said the other day at Tales of a Sissy.. as he hit it perfect and I feel the exact same! There seems to be less time when you don't have a daily job for sure and I am busy as ever and the time ( what time?) goes by super quick. I remember waiting for he weekends to come and now weeks just seem to fly by... WTF!

Anyhow hope all is well with u! We are going bowling tonite!! Its a new thing we enjoy with family and friends.... We was suppose to go out last night and hit the bars and clubs for a b day and a going away event but we went out on St Pattys and got home at 3am! Yes 3 am! We had a blast at a concert ( The Green) and partied hard!! So yesterday was a day to recoup instead Seems like I am getting old and just cant do a 2 nighter these days...LOL!

time to roll into the week.....

Monday Monday...Blah blah....Had a crazy busy week last week and I think its about to be the same this week....busy busy!

I love skate boys.....while growing up my cousins used to be really good skateboarders and bikers and so they were an influence on me since they were older......so I got into it all as well especially bikes but I was never as good on a skateboard like they were. It was a form of transpo for us--at least us kind of boys....I think back to my youth even in high school and I was always on a bike or skateboard as I could never could afford a car......oh well...I can thank all that biking and such for keeping me in great shape and for that bubble butt I was rewarded with.....

Happy Friday

How u doing? I have been busy! I so didn't want to get out of bed this am but decided I better get this day started and got up....Then noticed the furnace didn't fire up and so it must of went out again! Had a guy come check it last week and it had some clogging of oil or something to that effect and he tuned it up and fixed it.....Well I thought he did....anyhow it went off again and I am pissed. Unexpected shit like this is not needed when money is tight but we can only take a deep breath and well you know just swallow....LOL! Grrrrr!!!

Got alot going on this weekend.....One of my BFF's is having her citizenship party tonite. She became a US citizen about a month ago. She is from Sweden and I just adore her. We met a few years ago and hit it off from he moment we met. She has developed into a very close dear heart and I am so happy for her....So she and her hubby Shawn are having the shindig at a place in Belltown to celebrate....The Rendezvous- The Grotto........Should be a blast! And the guest list is good! Will be nice to see alot old friends and colleagues..... woot woot! I am sure we will have a marvy time! I wanted to go get a haircut and a new outfit...but now maybe not with the furnace eating up the extra cash! DAMMMIT! Oh well I am sure I can figure something out. Rads wardrobe closet is vast and I m sure I can dig up something cute....sigh....I have to be a recession unemployed fashionista I guess....

Tomorrow night we have another B day party to attend---Her name is Juku and she is a havenese.....Its a dog party! She is best buds with our kids.....I helped our gal pals find her years ago so I am kinda a god parent! It should be entertaining.

Today is my tiny little blogs 5th birthday/anniversary! Hard to believe that 5 years ago today I thought it would be fun to start a blog for some fun...Didn't know I would be here 5 years later still blogging. It started as The Adventures of a Rad Ass Homo...I thought it would be fun to post and keep track of my adventures...back then most fellow blog mates and I referred myself as RAH and it was much more media related....It has changed over the years and now its just A Rad Homo and I use RAD instead of RAH and the content has changed a bit but it has also stayed true to me. Its still my online diary of sorts and I have come to think of it as my online scrapbook---nothing to major or deep....well sometimes it is..... It has been fun and so well worth it. I love to go back and see what I was up too in years past and look at my likes-dislikes and how I change....oh and how I have such fine taste in men! he he.....

The best part of my blog is the friends and people I have been able to connect with due to blogging... All across the world even....I have been able to meet allot of fine folks and some have become very good friends! Its just incredible the support I get when times are tough and cheers when times are good...its so damm cool and heartwarming and so many of you can be considered family in my heart....I love you guys! You know who you are! :-)

Well looks like I get to go get a cupcake or something today to celebrate this! 5 Years! WOW!

Week started with need for new tires....

What a week....Started with a blow out on interstate 5 last Saturday.....We were on our way in pouring rain up north and then wham! Anyhow had to get towed to the nearest place which was Firestone and had to get some new tires. Car is only 3 years old but it was time to replace them anyhow. Times a really tough right now since we are unemployed so I wasn't very happy with the sitch of an unexpected added expense but what can you do? The Firestone guy did not look like this in anyway but if we had we would of maybe negotiated a deal....LOL! We did however get one free tire though as they were running a special. I called my dealership buddy and he assured me it was a ok deal--even though he lost the sale to us....Nice chap he is.....

Been a long week.....Gearing up for the new year and all the craft fairs and such we will be dong come spring and summer for the jewelry biz....Been busy helping friends with a opening of a new venture....New storefront with painting and such....Got to decorate and shop for a lobby waiting area and that was fun.. Also had a few job interviews and people calling about jobs I applied for and I hate to say but I have not been interested in ANY of the jobs. Is it weird to say I am being picky...very picky! I rather hold out or suffer then go to a job just to get one or just make money. Times have changed and I want to be happy. Hubster and I have decided that we can totally be ok and happy without going back to corporate America. If we lost everything--our home etc.... as long as we have each other and the dogs we are ok......as we know we will survive....Living within our means has been ok.... Only thing that worries me these days is getting some sort of health insurance.....That maybe the only reason I have to go back to a corp job....YUCK!

Well time to go job search online....Gotta pay off them tires! damm how I hate how it eats up my fun Internet time! Oh well....Maybe that dream job is right around the corner....one can only hope and pray....
