Week started with need for new tires....

What a week....Started with a blow out on interstate 5 last Saturday.....We were on our way in pouring rain up north and then wham! Anyhow had to get towed to the nearest place which was Firestone and had to get some new tires. Car is only 3 years old but it was time to replace them anyhow. Times a really tough right now since we are unemployed so I wasn't very happy with the sitch of an unexpected added expense but what can you do? The Firestone guy did not look like this in anyway but if we had we would of maybe negotiated a deal....LOL! We did however get one free tire though as they were running a special. I called my dealership buddy and he assured me it was a ok deal--even though he lost the sale to us....Nice chap he is.....

Been a long week.....Gearing up for the new year and all the craft fairs and such we will be dong come spring and summer for the jewelry biz....Been busy helping friends with a opening of a new venture....New storefront with painting and such....Got to decorate and shop for a lobby waiting area and that was fun.. Also had a few job interviews and people calling about jobs I applied for and I hate to say but I have not been interested in ANY of the jobs. Is it weird to say I am being picky...very picky! I rather hold out or suffer then go to a job just to get one or just make money. Times have changed and I want to be happy. Hubster and I have decided that we can totally be ok and happy without going back to corporate America. If we lost everything--our home etc.... as long as we have each other and the dogs we are ok......as we know we will survive....Living within our means has been ok.... Only thing that worries me these days is getting some sort of health insurance.....That maybe the only reason I have to go back to a corp job....YUCK!

Well time to go job search online....Gotta pay off them tires! damm how I hate how it eats up my fun Internet time! Oh well....Maybe that dream job is right around the corner....one can only hope and pray....

Was watching Rocky Horror yesterday as I came across it while flipping through the channels....This movie is still one of my faves of all time and I thought I had to post a tidbit on how even as a young lad how I thought how very hot Peter as Rocky was and Barry as Steve Majors....It was one of those movies that kinda shaped me and kinda alerted me to having "those" kinda feelings for men....I still love Brad in his underwear......SO MY TYPE!! I know big BVDS man! But I loved it!! And still do!! :-)...

Shitty DayHad a poop kind of day! So many things got on my nerves today....I need a drink. Better yet I really wish I could get away. Getting close to changing it all and just giving up. So fed up! I know I need to hang in there but sometimes I feel it isn't worth it anymore. I want something to change and I guess I have to make the effort to get that ball rolling.... Oh how I wish it would get better. Oh if I have guardian angel now if the time man! HELP!

BURLESQUE

Since Philip Morris wasn't playing anywhere here we went to see Burlesque yesterday! We went to the 1130am matinee for $6.....I enjoyed it and CA surprised me... The acting was indeed so-so... for even Cher..... and it was kinda disappointing as she only sang 2 songs ..But I still love her to death and the movie was so worth seeing as there are so many movies that are bad these days. This was good one considering some bad acting and a predictable plot.... Great music and lots of talent though and it was a pure delight! I give it a 7... ok bonus gay points...I give it a 9....

Snoqualmie Falls

Wanted to go see Philip Morris today but its such a limited release that it isn't even playing in Seattle! WTF! So we are off today to do some holiday shopping, errands and then over to see Snoqualmie Falls... The monsoon rains help the falls put on a big show so we are going to go check it out!

Whats up?

Feeling better today....THANKS for all those that sent me messages and well wishes...Awww shucks! I know it will get better and I know I am a survivor so it should all be ok in the long run... I have a feeling even better than it was ever too... I almost deleted the post as I was in the moment. But when I started this blog I did so with the intention of sharing so here we are years later....In fact I think my 3 or is it 4 year anniversary is coming up in Jan for this blog....Wow! Its fun and sometimes yes very embarrassing to look back on all my post through the years....But It is who I am and what was going on at the time so.....Anyhow thanks again to those that took the time to communicate with me and make sure Rad was ok....xoxo

So what has Rad been up too? No job gives me less free time and more worry for one which is strange. Anyhow enough of that boring subject. I have been eating better than ever and losing weight which is cool. Hubs and I are eating right and exercising and just trying to be more healthy in general. Its more of a life change when it comes to eating so now that we have been doing it for months it is not so bad and actually easy....We still splurge on occasion its just we now follow rules better on what and when we can have the good stuff....Now its just a bonus or special treat when we have sweets or breads, rice, pasta, sodas etc.

Been watching alot of movies and going to $6 matinees... Movies are like $12 these days so we go in the am and catch a flick early ... Going to Burlesque this week. Been renting movies ALOT! from the Red Box... its rocks! Only a buck! So its couch time with the kids and we just chill. Kids are being spoiled that we are home more that's for sure.

Looking for a job...kinda...going full force in Jan on that---Started a Hawaiian Jewelry business and will be doing that to supplement the income.... Going to do all the Hawaiian festivals in 2011.

That's a quick update for now....I am jonesing for my blog fix! Going to go read up on all of you now that I am in the mood! Hope you all are having a good Dec and holiday season! ho ho ho!

Down Time

Feeling down. Yesterday was a bummer of a day and everything that could go wrong did. I start to think of all the shit going on and it all tornadoes into a whirlwind of worry for me. So yesterday was a fucked up day for me...I don't have many of those but lately I just have so much on my plate. Just so much going on in my life to juggle and with that it sometimes gets overwhelming. I think I was just overloaded with all I have going on right now. Last night took a "pain pill" and I finally relaxed. ahhhhhh.... I was able to relax and then calm down. Finally went to bed at 2..... I am thinking straighter now this morning and I know everything will work out.... All my worry about all the shit work, starting a business and just making sure ends are met daily will work out and transpire as I am a strong guy and capable of making it all work.

Just every now and then I just get tired and defeated. It all comes to a tidal wave of emotions. Its difficult as I said many times B4 my mom was my confidant.... my sounding board.....my BFF.....so I am lost and alone these days in that area for support as the most important part and element in my life is someone to talk to at times like this... Hubby tries his best but we all know you need another ear than that sometimes.....I do love him so but sometimes I need a break from that.... Friends? Many.... but not any I feel comfortable with that I can confide in or vent too....Plus lately I feel like a burden.....there's that guys who lost his mom and job...what a loser! LOL! I know get over it Rad!! But you get that vibe from people you know...Im tired of some people even being rude..... I am ready to punch out a few of them and might do so soon.......It is funny to see who really supports you in rough times. Im not one to reach out... I do try though. My blog buddies and people I would never realize are now here for us....Those we thought would are so not....Funny how that works....You can so see the good from the bad....

I know I should think about going to see a therapist to chat with but don't have the funds for that! LOL!! Oh.... I am just rambling....Sorry just venting out bored on a Sunday am...checking out my fave blogs which seem to get my mind off the crap I have in my head. Like I said things are ok......gosh it could be so worst..... Si I know we will make it work!!!! I just miss being able to call or go visit mom and she would make me all strong again...she was my power pill...my energizer...I need to try to do that alone now...... so very hard! Ok back to you regular scheduled blog fun now... Thanks for the ear......

I have been so BUSY!! you would think being unemployed would give me more time-- WRONG!! I am going to try hard to get into the swing of making time to blog...Mostly I miss being able to go and visiting all my fave blogs...I feel so out of the loop....But I also miss sharing my shit too!

Deep Freeze

Its a deep freeze in Seattle--its like the Artic! Snowed all day yesterday and then winds came through and it was a mini blizzard....Today we are all trying to recover--an stay warm...Sunny and Crisp! High today will be about 21 degrees.... brrrrrrr!!

Rad Homo is back.....

I get so emotional baby....

Rad is back....Had a top notch time in NYC....Shopped like crazy and did allot of sightseeing! It was awesome....Loved it.... Now back and trying to play catch up....Seattle is COLD! We are suppose to get snow today and tomorrow... Winter has arrived early....

Feeling depressed this weekend- This whole Thanksgiving holiday and my mom not being here is affecting me....as she was all about the holidays and we always spent so much time with her... So many traditions with it all that we did...making pies, homemade stuffing...Hanging out on T day talking and laughing......and then for years her and I would do our marathon shopping the day after T day and spend the whole day doing our x mas shopping...going to lunch and then dinner... We used to call it our "shop to we drop" day. We would start in the wee hours and go to about 9 that evening....good times. So I'm having a hard time. It was a special day for us to be together. So many other traditions...Its got me all emotional.

Did have Thanksgiving with the family yesterday. As Dad is going to the bay area to see family for the holiday....So we did dinner yesterday....I tried to make it feel the same.....I know dad tried......God bless him....But it was lame---well more of a disappointment for me really....I tried so hard to make it a day to remember her-- I tried to suck it up but some of my family members that came got on my nerves big time and it was the same old shit...I know they didnt find it lame at all...Im sure they had a good time! But they are clueless..... I know I need to let it go but its hard......They wasn't around when she was here much anyhow....Only came around when mom and dad had something at the house like yesterdays T day dinner....They never had my parents or us over or any invites through the years....for Thanksgiving or a BBQ etc........it was always ma and pa having something or hubby and I....and it was the same this year.....Dad had the dinner and he made the turkey and we made the ham and all the rest of them brought desserts...Had about 8 pies so it was a lovely Pie Thanksgiving.......Thanks for the pies people! whatever......Of course they all ate like pigs.....and took home pies...LOL!! Anyhow long story short the day just ate at me...I know it should not of but it did...I tried hard to not let it bug me but things in my head had me in a mood....I really need to learn to tolerate and relax and look at the big picture.....how they maybe looking at it....I do try.... Vodka didn't help this time though...LOL! It was just a disappointing day for me.

Another thing that was eating me was not one of them invited the hubby and I to Thanksgiving this year...I know how lame of me to think or care about.... but really......They all have things going on but we didn't get one invite from a family member. I shouldn't care but I do. Now I know how my mom felt about my sisters,brother, aunts etc....She was so right about them all... But hubby said I should look at it as maybe they thought we had plans as we are always so busy and have a life....Much like ma and pa did in years past.....have a life..... Funny I guess I'm getting old. I know I have to get over the family crap..... Now that mom is gone I have no need to keep them in my life it seems...Or do I feel the need too....Maybe that will change in time...They are so keep up with the Jones sometimes if you know what I mean...Its all about being defensive, petty and fake so much of the time and it gets old.....I have to get over it though...Mom did many times...

We were invited by our gal pals to a T day dinner this week for Turkey day..its at a good buddy of theirs... It was really nice of them to think of us.....So sweet...I think they knew we had no where to go....So they got the gang they hang out with to invite us......Feeling weird about it....Kinda like a third wheel or charity... Not sure or know the people much that will be there. I know we should go and just have some fun and enjoy a day with people....I am just glad we had one invite...LOL! I guess we are not liked anymore! Oh well!! .But its feels funny....strange.....we also feel like we should just maybe do a quiet T day with the kids at home. Make moms pies....Will see....I'm just in a funk.. I hope I can get through it....Oh phooey! This is going to be a rough week....I miss having someone to talk too at times like this.

Had a GREAT time in NYC...Had to share this cool print I picked up at this pop up show in NYC.. Thought it was so cool! We were at the Rawhide having cocktails and this was going on across the street. More here... cool eh? Share more of my adventures in the big apple when I get a moment to blog....In all NYC rocks! Hubby and I had a super time and we want to go back again! Its OUR kind of place for sure!!!

NEW YORK- Here We Come!!

I am getting excited! We are off to NYC ! Here comes the big apple this next Tuesday and will be there for a short stay--Just to Saturday night. we got tickets to Nate Berkus on Wed and Wendy Williams on Thurs. We will also try to get in all the sights and of course shopping.... Any blog mates have suggestions on what to do see etc? Believe it or not I have never been so its a first for me! Woot woot!

Halloween Costume

Tonite is the big annual Halloween Bash we go to every year.......I have posted pics from each year as I have been a Skeleton, Amy Winehouse...and last year a goth to name a few.... So this year we thought to go for a superhero theme.... Hubby is going as Robin...I almost went as Batman but could not find the right tights...LOL! At least ones that looked right. I did find one I liked...The Green Lantern! So that is what I am wearing! Just hope there isn't another fella in the same outfit....I would die! Well as long as I look beter then it will be ok....ha! I will make sure to post some pics!!!

Da Pumpkin Patch!

Went to the Pumpkin Patch last weekend and took some shots..It was s sunny and lovely fall day! I like to call it FALLGASIM! Ive been really busy helping some friends with a remodel project on a house for the last few weeks ....so I have been busy!!! Still deciding what to do with this split in the road we have before us.....Losing our jobs gives us the opportunity to change our lives and so many paths/roads have opened up....

What do I want to do--where to work? Work for someone? or do our own thing? Do we want to move to another state? So many questions and so many things to think about and change. Right now just going doing what we can as it has been a little over a month. I do know I want to do what will make us happy....Its funny as I am busier then I was when I was employed! I need a vacation man! LOL! So we are off to NYC in Nov! Cant wait! Below are more shots of the pumpkin patch!

Vacation update

RAD is enjoying time away with hubby and friends back home in Hawaii- Above is Valley Of the Temples which is will be moms final resting spot. Its a lovely area. Been seeing lots of family and then going to the beach... Went again to Koolina yesterday and snapped this beautiful pic below. I miss the beach so much! Off to circle the island with friends today. Aloha!

Happy Birthday to Rads HUBSTER!!
Today is a big day as the hubby turns 40! We met when he was 28. Its crazy to think he is 40. He is better than ever and looking as good as ever. I am happy 95% of the time-- the other 5% I want to kill him but its all good! He he he... He really isn't into doing anything to celebrate which might be due to all that has and is going on with our lives, jobs and all that. I had a whole small gathering planned and then he canceled it all and even called the cake I ordered! He told me he is wanting no celebrations and just a low key weekend. Yes sir! He is just looking forward to our 2 week trip back home to the islands in a few weeks and I can see that as being when we can relax and really celebrate together and make it count.... We do have this holiday weekend to meet with whom we want and hang and just chill so it wail be nice for him as he can choose what he wants to do for the next three days....

So nothing really planned for the long weekend...which is PERFECT! those are the best kind!

Sorry for the blogcation... Last Friday came into work and then started feeling funny so I went home sick...as the day went on I got more an more sick....and then by Sat am I was in full fledge sickness....anyhow long story short I caught some sort of flu and was sick and I mean SICK AS HECK! I haven't had a cold or flu like this in ages. At one point on Monday I was in tears and wanted it to go away... I finally just started feeling better yesterday.... Phew! I feel reborn again... Man alive! Now its recoup and dealing with work which is a zoo...or maybe more of a circus right now....don't have much time to blog today but wanted to check in.....I also need to catch up on many of my fave blogs....Man why do I have to work?
