One year ago this am...
I lost my Mom.....
So today is 1 year that I lost my mom. Gosh.... so hard to put into words, feelings....I have so many emotions about it....still.... She was my biggest cheerleader, my confidant and really my best friend. I used to joke about it with her and tell her she was my BFF and I didn't realize until we lost her just how true that was. I miss talking with her the most......and then seeing her as the hubby and I spent SO MUCH time with her and my dad. Its been rough.

Mom and I had the best relationship and she and my dad was so a part of my life. I was proud to show her off and she has been to a many parties, bashes and gay clubs and drag shows since the 80's....She kinda grew up with me as I grew myself in my 20's and 30's and now 40's... Yep she was my BFF! And everyone thought she was SO COOL.....

I kinda took my cue from her as I have always taken friends and made them into OHANA or family-- by taking all my friends and family and making sure they all mix....as she said it was the Hawaiian way....Show your aloha! Its all we know......I know...its how we were raised! I know this is why I have a BIG OHANA...a very large and wide circle of friends through the years....Its a bit differ than what I see here and what some seem to practice... Its strange for me to see people separating friends and or families... I say learn to share... Live and learn ALOHA! I am just glad I had her as my mom....I know she guides and walks with me everyday.

I Miss u mom!

RAD,

I'm sorry. I'm very close to my mother (actually my entire family) and I think its a loss I would feel for the rest of my days.

my mother passed away 14 years ago and I think about her every day.
I remember reading your lovely posts about your mother
This is something my mother copied down from somewhere, I found it after she passed.
"God gave us many stars to shine
Many flowers to bloom
Many friends to cherish
But only one mother to remember."

Your mom is still with you and watching over you. She obviously had a huge heart that you inherited. The love and friendship that you bring to others is the best gift that your mom taught you. Every time you make someone smile, every hug you give, every note you write to someone, your mom inspired. Your mom's love lives on in you every day. Sending big hugs and love, Rob and Tom

A wonderful post. Yeah, it doesn't really get any easier if one loved their mother as one should. Sometimes the memories come on like a tsunami. It's easy to see where you get your good looks.
