CHANGE IS GOOD...

Decided to change format a bit and I like the orange header so what the heck...You like?....I am hoping to get to post a bit more in the next few weeks as I have some time---Looking forward to a small vacation for the 4th of July... Going to see my buddy Craig and his partner Kevin--Jeff and I have not been to Arizona so it will be nice and most importanly to see Craig....I could write a whole blog of our comming out adventures in the late 80's ---but I think Ill save it for the book or screenplay.. Work still sucks my left nut and I hate it...I need to think of a way to go into my own business already...I know we can do it....

My first real crush!! Boy this was my teenage crush if there ever was one--- One could argue that the ill-fated model, Jon Erik Hexum, was one of the most beautiful men ever to pose for the camera, and despite his early and tragic demise, he certainly posed a lot, and so there's no shortage of beautiful photos of this very sexy guy. I and my best buddy Craig was heartbroken when he died--There was just something about him--not many men do that..Nowadays thanks to the GAYS we have many good looking boys and men are all over the place in the media through a number of resources including this blog---But back in the 80's this was a accomplishment to be as big as he was ....I loved Jon Erik and here is his my post to him and im quite surprised I haven't done it sooner... The Northwest's largest Lesbian/Gay/Bi-sexual/Transgender (LGBT) Pride Parade is getting a new home this summer. The famous Parade is Sunday, June 25th, starting at 11:00 am downtown, from Westlake Park to Seattle Center, the new location of the 2006 Seattle Pride Festival.

Westlake Park will contain the official media and ADA viewing areas.
KSTW-11 will air two hours of same-day coverage from the Pride Parade on Sunday, June 25 from 6-8PM. This marks the first time the Seattle Pride Parade has been made available to viewers via free, over-the-air television. The Parade will also be seen on KSTW in the Vancouver, B.C. market as well.

Seattle Out And Proud sponsors and produces the annual Seattle Pride Parade and the Festival to commemorate three nights of civil unrest known as the Stonewall riots. Army Twink

Ok so I haven't really posted a twink before so this is a first---Unless you count the pics of Jeff or myself! Ha... we wish...Anyhow sometimes I think of what it would of been like to go into the arm services when I was a young lad--I bet I would of loved it--not only because of the boys but because I needed it...Its strange as I look back on how much I wanted to go into the navy and also an all boys high school and college--part of it was most likely due to my sexuality but more importantly I think I needed it. I really needed some male influences in my life as I was pretty much raised by a flurry of women--mom, granny,sisters and aunts....I didn't really feel comfortable around guys till my late 20's after I had met someone that made me comfortable with who I am and thus made me comfortable with men....

I came out when I was 18 in 1984---I didn't even know when I stepped into my first club ( The monastery in Seattle) that gay people existed!!! I just thought I was one of very few broken people and I was 18 years old!!! I then found my nitch in the world and threw myself into the gay ghetto. It was lots of sex, good drugs and disco--I had alot of friends and one in particular made sure to keep me in line and made sure that I did not slut around. I will never forget how he said we were special and that we did not want a bad rep with the scene. If we were to be loose--it should be with discretion---Though I wanted to fool around and sleep around like crazy and I gave in on occasion, I really did try to be a good boy and made sure to protect our golden boy image. At that time I didn't think it was right and it made me fell like I thought we were better than the rest--How bitchy! But this was when Aids had just hit--it didn't even have a name yet in those days ---infact at that time the rumor was that poppers were the reason everyone was getting sick..So we gave up poppers and kept on taking the MDA and snorting crystal and eating mushrooms----Needless to say I ended up going through the early stages of this epidemic-- saw what it did to our community through the years and thus watched way to many of my friends and family pass away from it...So I swear I avoided HIV in the early years due to this protecting of my image--

I still have a few good buds from those early years and it seems like yesterday when we go back and remember those early times.... Im just glad we lived through it all and made it out in one piece-- With all those drugs and such....But I do know this-- I would not trade it for the world---I love that I had the tail end of a Studio 54 life.....We had our own world back then guys--That has changed alot as society has changed alot. Only regret is I never got to be a army twink...

So Jeff was telling me about the blogs that had all these shots that were all over the place of Ryan and Teri Hatcher from desperate housewives walking on a beach--Of course this was a a big scam and staged hoax of them being seen together so that tabloids,rags, entertainment shows and blogs can say how they were seen together on a date blah blah blah-- Im sure this was to somehow protect Ryans image--Anyhow the funniest thing is this pic he found--it was redone with Ryan head on Teris body...This cracked us both up! Another Nice Day In Seattle

Not quite as nice as I need to run out and put on this hat and pair of trunks to catch some rays but one can only hope to encounter this if it was the case...Hopefully soon ( July?) but it should be a lovely spring day in the Northwest---Im happy as my plants and yard will be happy today...Im glad we are headed to Hawaii on the 22nd...Hopefully we see alot of this action at Queens Beach..Gosh darn Channing is hot...
