So I Was Thinking Today....

I have been working out for 2 weeks!! Yippee!!! In 16 days I leave for Hawaii!!!!! I really can’t wait to get out on a vacation from this hell pit some people would call a job…I am surely looking for a new one when I get back from vacation. It is finally slowing down and I will actually have time to seek a better fit for me. I so stupid or rather so dedicated that I have been too busy at work to think about looking for a new one…Call me nuts…. I have said this many times before- I love my job but I just don’t like the boar hogs I work with—This is a first for me too as I cant remember a time that I had to work with people I don’t get along with –never….I have left jobs in the past but it has always been the need to move on to learn more or get recruited to another new work experience etc---But in this new job the women are old, fat, been here forever, and shall I say it—Big time crotches….They hate me and make my life miserable- There is so many reasons they make my life hell but I think the main one is I walked in and got a lead position and get paid better than all of them—is it my fault they have been here for an eternity and not moved on to make more $? The answer to that is simple—they stayed here because its easy and lax….Perfect for the wide asses they all sit on and jaws they flap all day long ….Back stabbers……I don’t take it and I think that what gets them fired up…oh and my sales rock and roll too..he he he.....oh well enough of my bitching….I think the best case scenario when I get home is to look HARD for a new job and if I have too take November and December off when I get back—I am that close to doing that! A Nice winter vacation sounds lovely…

At least I have a nice vacation coming up—So that should help re-charge me and at least there is a light at the end of the tunnel for the next few weeks……There really is no place like home. I can’t wait to get to the beach and sink my toes in the sand and get into the water. Hope this working out like a demon pays off….I think I have lost about 8 or more pounds….I feel better that’s for sure!!!! I felt like a whale as I ran on the treadmill last night next to all these skinny mini boys and gals...I would like to lose another 8 or so—My goal was to lose 20 before Hawaii so I am on track… And when we get back its back to the gym as I know I will eat all those plate lunches when I get back in the islands…. Hoping I can boogie board it away at the beach!

Who Wants to Scream Like A Super Hero?

Last nights episode was a good one-- crawling through a tubing tunnel with snakes-spiders and rats! Poor mannequin like Parthenon screamed like a school girl...Stan called him on it.... Not very nice but it was funny-- Defuser got stuck in the tubing at one point and in the end whip snap was sent home this week--Great recap and comments below that sums it up from After Elton-
On last night's Who Wants to Be a Superhero, gay hero Parthenon yet again managed to avoid the bottom three (which he has yet to find himself in, if I'm not mistaken) but did get a slap on the wrists for ... well, for screaming like a girl during the challenge. Considering how gay last week's episode was, it was a bit disappointing to see Stan Lee come down on Parthenon for his mid-challenge shriek, as it seemed like they were saying that he needed to butch up or ship out. But at this point it's so obvious that the gay hero's Dudley Do-Right image is a tough nut for the competition to crack, and that the show is having a hard time finding anything about him to criticize.
Case in point: the "secrets from the heroes' past" segment, in which Doctor Black Party unearthed embarrassing information about the heroes to one another and to Stan Lee.
First up is Whip Snap, who apparently "borrowed" a friend's car (Stan says she stole it) and slept on the roof of a girl that she had a crush on. Okay, that's kind of embarrassing, yes. And a bit stalkery. But as much as we love Whip Snap for her tenacity, it's not like emotional stability has ever been her strong suit in this competition.
Hygena, meanwhile, harbors the secret wish to take burlesque dancing classes. Considering they teach pole dancing at my local gym and it's flocked to by all sorts of women, I don't see this as being any kind of terrible secret. Although I do love when Doctor Black Party holds up a feather boa as a clue to her secret and Hygena looks at it quizzically for a moment before guessing "...College?"
Hyper-Strike, meanwhile, got fired from a circus because he couldn't do a hands-free kip off of a gym floor during a performance. The best part about this is that it's communicated via a video of his circus pals pantomiming the event, which serves as a good reminder that, unlike the other heroes, Hyper's home life is actually less normal than running around in tights in a loft with a bunch of glitter-covered strangers.
We come to Parthenon and I actually get a little worried. First off, Doctor Black Party calls him "Fancy Pants," which is a bit odd considering all the men are wearing Spandex leggings. We see a video of Parthenon's partner at the gates of his house, and he notes that every room in the house has its own theme. Oh dear ... are we going to see Parthenon's dungeon? Or his Precious Moments room? This could get ugly.…

Oregon News
Know Thy Neighbor Assistance

Oregon Rocks and I love having them as a neighbor--its like Seattle USED to be. Not as crowded or expensive-- YET....Its still a good secret....Found this news as reported by Towleroad and I love it...

Activist group Know Thy Neighbor plans to add Oregon to the list of states in which it's taking action. The group publishes names of those signing petitions that overturn gay rights bills passed in the state earlier this year, according to the Statesman Journal:

A coalition of conservative Christians is circulating petitions to put the two measures before voters in the November 2008 election. That would enable Oregon voters to decide whether to grant marriage-style rights to same-sex couples via domestic partnerships, and whether to ban discrimination against gays, lesbians, bisexuals and transgendered people. Know Thy Neighbor pledged to launch a new Web site that will list the petition signers' names and addresses."

Know Thy Neighbor has already published names of those signing anti-gay legislation petitions in both Massachusetts and Florida.
Bette Midler-
Tree Killer or Compost Queen?

I enjoy Bette Midler but I have to poke fun at this news....It might be in bad light but at least it promotes her upcoming Las Vegas gig......

LIHUE, Hawaii - Bette Midler cut down more than 230 trees around one of her properties on the island of Kauai without a permit, and the state has recommended she be fined.

The staff of the Board of Land and Natural Resources recommended $6,500 in fines for having the trees felled and for building a graded road without permits required for the land zoned for conservation use.
The singer and actress will pay the fines and will follow a replanting program, her attorney Max W. J. Graham said.
The actress and movie star, who was born in Honolulu, didn't realize permits were needed to remove the trees on a vacant 58,000-square-foot parcel of land on Kauai's North Shore, Graham said.
"The whole idea with cutting the trees down was with the idea of improving the lot with native species" instead of the nonnative, invasive species that had grown there, Graham said. "It's unfortunate that a mistake was made."
The National Tropical Botanical Garden, which maintains three gardens on Kauai, will design a replanting plan that consists of appropriate native plants, Graham said.
A botanist hired by Midler after the fact said 120 Java plum trees, 100 octopus trees and 10 to 20 Madagascar olive trees that were cut down were all nonnative species. Some native trees also were removed from the property, the botanist said.
Midler, known for her longtime commitment to the environment, was once known as the Compost Queen and appeared on billboards in Los Angeles advocating green recycling containers are for yard trimmings.
Midler is set to replace Celine Dion as a headline performer at Las Vegas's renovated Caesars Palace next year.

New Madonna
Always anticipated! New Madge stuff! I cant wait!!
Guilty Pleasure
Big Love on HBO

Another guilty pleasure on TV- So I would share Bill Paxton- no problemo.....Hes a hottie...show is now on Season 2...Just renewed for season 3..It sorta reminds me of what we gays call an open relationship or a relationship that has 3 members....Kick ass actors and actresses too!! Do check it out! You will be hooked!

As if juggling three wives weren't tricky enough, Season Two of Emmy®- and Golden Globe®-nominated 'Big Love' finds modern polygamist Bill Henrickson (Bill Paxton) tackling problems outside his three-house suburban home. As a failed expansion and a suspicious employee entangle his work at Henrickson Home Plus, Bill races to find the person responsible for outing his wife Barb (Jeanne Tripplehorn) as a polygamist at Utah's Mother of the Year ceremony. Meanwhile, back at the fundamentalist Juniper Hill compound, prophet Roman Grant (Harry Dean Stanton) sets his sights on Bill's brother Joey (Shawn Doyle) as leverage to regain a share of the family business. Throw a pregnant Margene (Ginnifer Goodwin) and an overcompensating Nicki (Chloe Sevigny) into the mix, and Bill won't be getting much sleep at any of his houses. Bold, funny and wholly original, Big Love continues to explore the evolving institution of marriage through this typically atypical family.

Big Love is an HBO television drama about a Utah Fundamentalist Mormon family that practices plural marriage, a type of polygamy that is no longer officially endorsed by the The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (LDS Church). Big Love stars Bill Paxton, Chloë Sevigny, Jeanne Tripplehorn, Ginnifer Goodwin and Harry Dean Stanton.

Shame Shame
Hollywood Reporter Outs Merv- What Bad Timing

The Hollywood Reporter has effectively blown the late Merv Griffin's closet door open for good... right on the day of his funeral service at a celeb-filled invitation-only funeral in Beverly Hills. This may just bother me but I think its kinda rude...I mean we all knew he was gay...We all pretty much knew he wanted it private-- we all know other stars like this....Its a hard question as the whether or not we should out people...so many pros and cons on both sides...But jeez-- they wasted no time in this report-- I say shame shame to the Hollywood Reporter---they should know better or at least have some respect...This could of ran a week later or something...

Writes Ray Richmond for the industry bible: "Merv Griffin was gay.. Why should that be so uncomfortable to read? Why is it so difficult to write? Why are we still so jittery even about raising the issue in purportedly liberal-minded Hollywood, in 2007? Griffin, who died of prostate cancer Sunday at 82, stayed in the closet throughout his life. Perhaps he figured it was preferable to remain the object of gossip rather than live openly as 'one of them.' But how tremendously sad it is that a man of Merv's renown, of his gregarious nature and social dexterity, would feel compelled to endure such a stealthy double life even as the gay community's clout, and its levels of acceptance and equality, rose steadily from the ashes of ignorance. What a powerful message Griffin might have sent had he squired his male companions around town rather than Eva Gabor, his longtime good friend and platonic public pal. Imagine the amount of good Merv could have done as a well-respected, hugely successful, beloved and un closeted gay man in embodying a positive image

Pike Place Market Celebrates Centennial
100 years old 8/17/07

Happy 100 Pike Place Market!!!-- For those that have been to Seattle I am sure you have made a visit to the historical Pikes Market.....So many good times can be remembered with so many visits for flowers and produce and evenings spent at a number of venues having a great dinner and or drinks-- I think we will make a stop tomorrow night and check out the celebration and do a quick cheers to the market! And to think it started because of onions!

We owe the Pike Place Market to onions. Yes, really, onions. A massive onion shortage in 1906 and 1907 caused the price of onions to skyrocket. Outraged citizens, tired of dealing with middlemen to procure their daily onions, demanded a solution. This is where Thomas Revelle stepped in. He proposed a public marketplace where farmers could sell their produce directly to consumers, cutting out middlemen and reducing prices significantly. On August 17th, 1907, eight farmers wheeled their carts onto First avenue and Pike street in front of the (now defunct) Leland Hotel, where they were mobbed by over 10,000 buyers looking for produce. The carts were picked clean and many people went home empty handed. Clearly, the idea was a hit. By November 1907, a permanent covered arcade had been built to shield buyers and sellers from the elements. In the next few years, the market was expanded to house flower peddlers, and a sanitary market was added across the street for the sale of meats. In 1930, the market’s iconic neon sign and clock were put in place.
Work Out Time

Ok.... so we joined a gym yesterday.....Jeff and I have been lucky enough to have been born with decent physique's...But the last few years the metabolisms have slowed and my spare tire has gotten a bit out of control...For the first time in many years we are back with gym memberships...So the workout era begins!!!...The snacking has to be cut back as well as the soda pop.....I am however going to keep the cocktails flowing as I will need that release.... We are super excited to start working on our fitness!!! Wish us luck...I think will need it for the first few weeks until it becomes a habit for us....

Merv Griffith-
Goodbye Dear Fellow

Goodbye dear Merv... One of my guilty pleasures as a kid with my Granny- (she loved Merv!) and as a teen ( my gal pal Tammy and I loved watching Mervie!) He was one of the talk show greats.. We need more talk shows that are like late night TV but in the afternoons...

Merv Griffin, the entertainer turned impresario who parlayed his "Jeopardy" and "Wheel of Fortune" game shows into a multimillion-dollar empire, has died. He was 82.
Griffin had been recently hospitalized for a recurrence of prostate cancer and was reportedly gravely ill.
Griffin was originally diagnosed with cancer in 1996.
Born July 6, 1925, in San Mateo, Calif., Griffin began his career as a singer, bandleader and actor.
His first big-screen role came in the 1952 Western "Cattle Town," and he had roles in such films as "The Phantom of the Rue Morgue" (1954), opposite Karl Malden, and "The Beast From 20,000 Fathoms," where he had an uncredited voice performance as a radio announcer.
In 1962, he started "The Merv Griffin Show," serving as the talk show's host and executive producer. The show ran on
CBS until 1986.
In addition to his own talk show, Griffin populated the television landscape with several game shows. In addition to "Jeopardy!" (which began in 1964) and "Wheel of Fortune," (1975), Griffin was behind the disco show "Dance Fever" in 1979.
Griffin won three Daytime Emmys (two as host, one as a writer) for "The Merv Griffin Show" and another for producing "Jeopardy!" He was awarded a Daytime
Emmy Lifetime Achievement Award in 2003.
Griffin was married once, from 1958 to 1976, and has one son, Tony.
Griffin continued working up until the end. His next game show, "Let's Play Crosswords," is scheduled to debut Sept. 10.
"Wheel" host Pat Sajak said he has lost "a dear friend." Sajak said it's hard to imagine life without him.
Griffin was also a longtime friend of former President Ronald Reagan and his wife, Nancy, who called his death "heartbreaking." She said he was there for her every day after her husband died.
Zsa Zsa Gabor, whose late sister Eva was often seen with Griffin, described him as a "wonderful man."
An invitation-only funeral Mass will be held at a later date in Beverly Hills.

I Wanna Fight

Sometimes your just in the mood to beef it out....I was raised to kick some ass-- well this is mostly due to being raised by a cop and if I ever came home and said I lost a fight, came home crying or beaten up-- my dad would tell me if that was the case he would beat me on top of that...So I was raised to stand up and not take any bull...or as they said in the islands- any lip...Of course with age I have mellowed and fighting it out isn't the way to solve things.....But I still think its part a a mans make up to horse play and get aggressive and get it on with some good old fashion play-- Maybe I need to join a rugby team or start wrestling...I maybe rather small to join the gay rugby team ( 5'8- 180 lbs)-- those boys I saw in the gay pride parade where monster trucks....I will be the mini cooper compared to those fellas.....I better start up on the protein shakes....

Zac Efron
Hot Heart Throbber

Nice pic of Zac Efron on the cover of the new Rolling Stone huh? Ok...so now I officially fell like a dirty old man....Twinkle eyes gives me a charge--I do notice however like many others that he wears a ton of make up..Kinda like that Jessie McCarthy guy that was hot a year or so ago...Much better if he can get off that need to wear layers of cover up...
Snuggle Weather

So Seattle's having a cool summer-- for July and August it has been cooler than normal it has been continually in the 70's and maybe a few days will hit a low 80.... the last few days have been gray and drizzle...Such perfect weather to stay home and cuddle and watch a good flick ...My yard and plants are a little confused and some of them have started to color and change to fall....I think I need to go home tonite and put away all my summer clothes and rotate out the winter line....Maybe if I do that the sun will come back...

Flipping Out
Jeff Lewis is cool!

So the article below is from the New York Times-- Kinda harsh...But I'm sure Jeff could care less-- love him!.... I watched the season premiere last night and fell in love with it-- thank god a new show to replace the Kathy Griffin void after last weeks finale....Bravo has another hit with this show! Jeff Lewis is my hero- for most he will come across as a villain or complete ass- But I TOTALLY relate to his personality a ton and I love it...I'm so very similar and I myself like to "face" all the stuff in my fridge and cabinets and all that-- clean- organized meticulous etc...What a dream job that would be working for Jeff-- And for those that don't understand it I'm sure you all live in filth anyhow.... If you have time check out the show-- fun stuff.!!
Here the article from the New York Times-----
Jeff Lewis is a very scary man, and he isn’t scary solely because he treats his employees like dust mites or consults a psychic to assist him in the running of his business or sends his cat, Monkey, to an acupuncturist. No, Jeff Lewis, a Los Angeles real estate speculator, evokes a chill because he is so leveraged, a man balancing multiple mortgages like bricks on a noodle.
The subject of “Flipping Out,” a reality series that begins tonight on Bravo, Mr. Lewis buys million-dollar properties, works them over and tries to sell them for a few more million. “Staging” — dressing up a home to look meticulously lived in — is a passion of his, and one that appears to deflect his attention from the shifting realities of his business.
“Flipping Out” is a prescient enterprise, arriving as it does amid reports that home foreclosures in Southern California are close to the peak reached 11 years ago. Unlike the seemingly zillion other real-estate reality shows, “Flipping Out” doesn’t cater to our trade-up fantasies. On the contrary, Mr. Lewis’s obliviousness and misplaced priorities function almost as explainers of the housing market’s downturn, capturing a looming sense of panic.
“They don’t care what I’m worth,” Mr. Lewis says of his potential creditors, with an odd astonishment. “All they care about is my debt.”
Neatness and aesthetics compel him above all. By the time Mr. Lewis has listed one of his properties, he has supplied not only the Miele appliances, but also added floor pillows, orchids and flat-screen televisions, a vision of what his renovated homes could ultimately look like if the buyer emulated his own good taste.
And of his own good taste he is certain. “For all those speculators that are still using travertine, it’s been gone for eight years,” he exclaims. “Eight years! Open up a magazine!”
Mr. Lewis’s houses look like the generically upscale ones found in House Beautiful. He doesn’t possess style; he copies it. What he does have, by his own admission, is obsessive-compulsive disorder, and the show’s producers, to their credit, do not treat his O.C.D. as if it were a winning asset, the key to whatever success he has had. Like many sufferers of the disorder, Mr. Lewis ignores the real mayhem right there in front of him, so fixated is he on the idea, say, that all the bottles of water in his refrigerator be stocked so that the labels always face him. This is a task dispatched to one of three assistants, from whom he demands formal, written apologies when they behave insubordinately.
For years now, the comic detective series “Monk” has equated O.C.D. with intuitive brilliance. We’ve long required a corrective interpretation, and “Flipping Out” is it. Mr. Lewis isn’t a genius of anything. He’s just a delusional jerk.
Desperate House Men
Hits Housewives 4th Season

Marc Cherry, creator of Desperate Housewives, has confirmed that the show will get two desperate houseMEN in the 4th season slated to start in September on ABC.The gay couple will take residence in the house formerly owned by the Applewhites and one of them will not exactly become friends with Teri Hatcher's character, Susan. Cherry also said that Housewives' current gay resident, Bree's son Andrew, will make a comeback after having spend most of season 3 in the background. I am hoping they look like these guys.......
